Caleb Okechukwu Simon Amatalam, known as Motors Comedy, was born into the family of Mr. Simon Kasim and Mrs. Margaret Simon Titus Amatalam. He was born and raised in Abuja but hails from Imo State, Ahiazu Mbaise L.G.A.
His primary education began at Ido Sariki Pada in Abuja before he moved to Lambata in Niger State to complete his junior secondary. He then returned to Government College Area 3 Gariki and subsequently attended Government Technical College, Owerri, where he obtained his WAEC, NECO, NABTAB, and Trade Test.
Growing up, Caleb had a natural flair for acting and playing football. He participated in numerous dramas at his local church and school and earned several awards as a soccer player. Besides sports and the arts, he was an outstanding student, admired by many teachers for his ability to balance his social life and academics.
Caleb was fortunate to have parents who were invested in his career path. They carefully sought to understand his interests and passions as a young boy.
His mother initially hoped he would become a medical doctor, a common aspiration for Nigerian parents. However, his father was more interested in Caleb’s own desires. Caleb had a personal love for engineering, which is why he attended a technical school for his secondary education.
MOTORS COMEDY (An Inspiration Beyond Just Content Creation)
Since launching his content creation journey in 2023, Caleb has received many questions about the inspiration behind his name, Motors Comedy.
Meanwhile Growing up, Caleb’s funny personality was a source of joy for many. He believes that his everyday life is a celebration of his blessings and a privilege for him to entertain others.
During his secondary school days, a few friends encouraged him to pursue his comedic talent more intentionally. At that time, comedy and content creation were just emerging, with popular figures like Mark Angel, Mr Funny, and House of Real Comedy leading the way. Caleb considered the resources needed to start, including a crew, camera, editor, and more. Given his limited means, he initially felt overwhelmed. However, his desire to get started was strong.
Caleb’s beginnings were marked by surprises and opportunities. He networked with people already in the industry and observed others creating content. He managed to secure opportunities to shoot but often faced long wait times for editing due to the high demand for editors at the time.
The name Motors Comedy reflects a brand born out of inspiration beyond just content creation. Caleb aims to be a driving force for people to overcome their slumber, weaknesses, and limitations. His brand is not only about entertainment but also serves as an empowerment platform for individuals with unique talents.
